Who We Are
Robert Gilbert and Susan Gilbert met years ago at a Gulf Station in MA. Not long afterwards they were married. Their first short film “The Dinner” is currently a finalist in the Long Island International Film Festival. Gilbert Entertainment focuses on film and theatre production.
ROBERT GILBERT (Writer, Producer) recently retired from over 30-years in the T.V. industry in order to pursue his passion for writing. During his time in the television industry Robert hosted and produced over 200 television episodes of the popular shows “Ask Bob” and “Let’s Travel”, which aired on PAX-TV. As Vice President and General Manager of WABV-TV in Boston, Robert managed all the behind-the-scenes aspects of the successful television station including sales and marketing and building an audience.
SUSAN GILBERT (Writer, Producer, Casting Director) received a BA in Theatre from the University of New Hampshire and went to New York where she became a model with the prestigious Eileen Ford Modeling Agency. She then became a television actress starring in popular television shows such as “Dynasty”, “The A-Team”, “Remington Steele” and nearly every soap opera produced in New York. Settling in Astoria, NY, Susan founded the Astoria Performing Arts Center (www.apacny.org) which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary and continues to break barriers and win awards.
